Lumi Cosmetics: A Sustainable Beauty Brand
Lumi Cosmetics was conceptualized as an eco-conscious beauty brand dedicated to sustainability and affordability. The goal was to create a cosmetics company that not only provides high-quality products but also prioritizes environmental responsibility through innovative packaging and brand messaging.
To position Lumi effectively, a thorough market analysis was conducted on leading cosmetic brands, including L’Oréal, Maybelline, NARS, Revlon, ELF, Glossier, and CoverGirl. Key takeaways included:
Lumi derives from the word "Illuminate," symbolizing both the enhancement of natural beauty and the promotion of positivity. The sun, a representation of life and growth, aligns with Lumi’s commitment to sustainability.
Various logo designs were explored, focusing on minimalistic yet elegant typography to communicate both sophistication and accessibility. The final design reflects the brand’s core values: simplicity, sustainability, and beauty.
